Altair32 Front Panel Unveiled today at The Vintage Computer Festival East (VCFe) 3.0
Rich Cini demonstrated the Altair32 Front Panel today at VCFe 3.0 in New Jersey. The Altair32 Front Panel is a hardware add-on to Rich’s free Altair32 Emulator for Windows-based PCs. The Altair32 Front Panel provides a real Altair 8800-style front panel to the Emulator, and is nearly identical to the original Altair 8800 Front Panel in form and function. This front panel has a major difference though: it connects to a modern personal computer through a USB interface. In addition, the Altair32 Front Panel provides two RS-232C serial ports, and is available fully assembled, or in partial kit form. See The Official Altair32 Web Site for more information.
An on-line Bulletin Board has been created to talk about the Altair32 Emulator and the Altair32 Front Panel.
